Asbury Park Summer 2022 Programs !!!

Preregistration required for all programs. Register now mon-fri 9am-5pm and on Saturday June 25 rom 9am-12noon at City Hall Rec Dept 1 Municipal Plaza 

 Swimming Lessons  to be held every week at the Boys and Girls club (1201 Munroe Avenue)for kids in grades 1-6 to learn the basics of swimming. Program begins July 16- August 20(Saturdays) 11:00am-12:30pm. Fee: $25.00 per child

Soccer Program  Children grades 1-5 will be taught the basics of soccer and participate in friendly soccer games. Program held at Asbury Park Bradley School soccer field..  Program begins July 8-Aug 19 Fridays at 5:30pm. Fee: $25.00

Lakehouse Music Academy 619 Lake Ave children ages 6-10 Get started Music Camp. August 8-12!! Program is for who for children who are SERIOUSLY interested in playing an instrument or singing. Children must live in Asbury Park.  Space is very limited!!! Free!!!

Free Surf Clinic: for AP children only. Ages 7-14. 1 week          camp Mon-Fri 9am-1pm or 1pm-4pm. Limited slots! Call for           more  details.  Offered by Summertime Surf

Waterparklocated next to the AP Middle School. Open 12noon-7pm Memorial Day- Labor Day. Admission is free!!!

Mission

Asbury Park’s Recreation Department provides quality recreation programs for our community, and supports existing programs by recreational agencies within the City, to help youth build confidence and self-esteem, while creating community.

Activities

Throughout the year, the Recreation Department offers sports, dance, mentoring programs and youth activities. During the summer, the Recreation Department holds a 6-week camp in collaboration with the Asbury Park Board of Education.

Fitness Facility

The Boxing and Fitness Facility offers workout equipment, treadmills, free weights and a regulation size boxing ring. The facility is open Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Annual Fees are $75 for 18 years and under and $150 for adults. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Community Events

Additionally, the Recreation Department produces community events such as the Back to School Block Party, Recreation Committee Fashion Show and annual Halloween Trunk or Treat Event.

Visit the Recreation Department at City Hall (1 Municipal Plaza, 2nd Floor) Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
