The City of Asbury Park understands that parking issues are of paramount importance to residents, businesses and visitors. The management of on-street and off-street parking has been identified as a priority for the City as it continues to grow in popularity. A balance of the needs of all users of the street system must be considered in the management of parking.
In order to manage the resource of on-street and off-street parking, the City implemented metered parking and parking permits in 2011. The City continues to monitor parking availability in order to ensure all residents, employees and visitors can park in a reasonable amount of time and in a reasonable distance from their destinations. The City has constituted an advisory Parking Committee which meets on the first Wednesday of each month.
Public Parking is available on-street as well as in surface parking lots and a parking garage. Find public parking and view parking regulations on the Public Parking Map. The rates found on the metered parking areas on the map correspond with the rate table (PNG).

The City Council adopted Ordinance Number 2017-014 on April 12, 2017 setting regulations for the reservation of parking spaces. These regulations create a process by which commercial entities can reserve metered parking spaces for loading/unloading, special events and other commercial purposes.
