The City of Asbury Park is a popular location for film, television and photo shoots. The Sopranos, Food Network, and the major motion picture, “City by the Sea”, have all filmed in Asbury Park, taking advantage of our wide variety of attractive and versatile locations.
We welcome businesses and individuals that wish to engage in commercial filming, videotaping or still photography, and encourage film companies and their crews to patronize local businesses while here.
Film permits are required for all commercial filming activity on City-owned property including City beaches, boardwalk, parks and facilities, with exception of reporting on current news and events by the news media.
