A message from NJDOT re Route 71/Main Street Construction:Starting Friday, 2/7/2020, construction of a new sanitary sewer line on Route 71/Main Street between Bangs and Second Avenues will begin. Work is expected to take approximately 4 weeks, weather permitting. During this time:- There will be no parking on Route 71/Main Street from Bangs Avenue to Second Avenue on either the northbound or southbound sides of the street until work is complete.- One travel lane will be maintained in each direction until work is complete. Please use caution and follow detour signs.- The east side entrance to Sewall Avenue from Route 71/Main Street will be closed until work is complete with vehicle and pedestrian detours in place.The NJ Department of Transportation is committed to completing this phase of the project (new sanitary sewer) prior to the busy summer season. Your patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated. The Department has a robust community outreach program on this vital project.
