State of New Jersey Ban on Polystyrene Foam Food Service Products, Ban on Single-Use Carryout Bags, and Plastic Straws By-Request-Only
Starting May 4, 2022:
- The State of New Jersey’s ban on polystyrene foam take out containers begins.
- New Jersey’s ban on the use of single-use carry out bags begins and will replace Asbury Park’s current ban on single-use carry out plastic bags.
- Food service businesses can only provide single-use plastic straws to customers upon request.
