On Asbury Park Boardwalk:
- Bicycle riding is not permitted on the Boardwalk from 10am to Midnight.
- Skates, rollerblades, skateboards, and scooters (except handicap vehicles) are not permitted on the Boardwalk.
For bikes and scooters throughout the City, please remember:
- Ride in the street, not on the sidewalks (unless rider is age 12 or younger and the bicycle's wheels are less than 26 inches in diameter). Riding on sidewalks is prohibited.
- Ride with traffic, not against it. Use bike lanes when available.
- Stop at red lights and stop signs. Obey all traffic signals, signs and pavement markings, and exercise care to avoid colliding with pedestrians, motor vehicles or other cyclists.
- Scooter operators must be 18 years old or older. One rider per scooter.
For cars throughout the City, please remember:
- Be on the lookout for pedestrians, bicyclists and scooter riders
- Do not block the bicycle lanes
- Maintain a minimum of 4 feet of distance when passing bicyclists and scooter riders
