City Council Announces Coffee with a Councilperson Event Dates for 2020

 CITY COUNCIL ANNOUNCES COFFEE WITH A COUNCILPERSON EVENT DATES FOR 2020
Council Encourages Residents to Attend and Get to Know Their Elected Officials

1/15/20, Asbury Park, NJ – The City Council of Asbury Park will be hosting Coffee with a Councilperson events to provide an opportunity for residents to get to know their elected officials, ask questions and provide comment. Events will be hosted at various locations throughout the City with two members of City Council in attendance at each event. Planned Coffee with a Councilperson dates include:          

  • Saturday, January 25 at 10am – Booskerdoo located at 1321A Memorial Drive
  • Thursday, April 23 at 10am – AP Roastery located in Convention Hall the Boardwalk
  • Tuesday, July 21 at 10am – Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea located at 521 Cookman Avenue (opens March 2020)
  • Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 10am – Location To Be Announced

“Last year’s Coffee with a Councilperson events were well attended and provided a casual environment for citizens to get to know us and learn about ways they can be actively involved in our City,” said Councilperson Yvonne Clayton, “We’re pleased to offer these events again in 2020 and encourage all residents to attend.”

“Coffee with a Councilperson is an easy and fun way for residents to find out what’s happening in Asbury Park,” said Councilperson Eileen Chapman, “And, most importantly, it’s a great opportunity for our residents to become more informed about the many services the City provides.”
