City of Asbury Park Leaf Collection Program

Leaf Collection No Date

Residents are asked to place leaves, either in biodegradable leaf bags or in loose leaf piles, curbside, and to leave a 6-inch gap between the leaf piles and the curb to allow storm water to flow through. Leaves will be picked up weekly through the end of the year.

Leaf piles should not be placed within 10 feet of storm inlets, and leaves should not be raked into the street, as gutters and storm sewers can become blocked causing localized flooding during moderate-to-heavy rainfall.

Branches, grass clippings, dirt or brush should not be included in leaf piles. These items can clog and damage equipment, as well as injure workers. Please note that leaf piles including these items will not be picked up.
